FRIENDS OF THE PORTLAND LIBRARY PRESENT:
“Unearth Your Story”
A Children’s Art Exhibition
The Portland Public Library will again open its doors for artists grades K-12 to participate in an all-new art show featuring the talent of Sumner County — Unearth Your Story.

Interested artists can enter up to two pieces in this upcoming art show. Artists showing works appropriate for the family setting of the library will be invited to showcase their work(s) at the library from May 30th - June 27th, 2026.

The submission deadline for entering your work via email is May 8th, 2026.
​
The Friends of the Portland Library will host a free open house honoring the artists on May 30th, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Refreshments will be served. All ages are encouraged to attend.

Artwork drop-off dates: May 9th – 18th 2026
Exhibit Period: May 30th - June 27th
Exhibit Open House: May 30th, 10am-12pm
PICK UP ARTWORK: June 30th - July 7th

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Artists must be in grades K-12 to participate. Artists MUST reside in Sumner County TN to participate. Artists may submit up to two pieces for consideration. Entries must be submitted via email. You will be asked to sign a waiver at the time of drop-off. There is no cost to enter. All submissions/entries must be received via email (or in person if necessary) no later than midnight May 8th 2026. Artwork must be the original work of the named artist. All artwork is subject to acceptance for exhibition – entering the exhibit does not guarantee your work will be selected. Artists must agree to keep their submission on display through the duration of the exhibit period if selected.
